Since all the pattern pieces are rectangular in shape, if you prefer to cut the fabric using measurements with a ruler, you can print the "Template for the Rounded Corners for Piece A/A1/A2/D and Cut List" on File #2 Pattern Pieces page 3-4.

The idea for the Odyssey Pack came to fruition when my daughter requested for a a school backpack that can accommodate a detachable lunch box. Designed with versatility in mind, the Odyssey Pack serves multiple purposes.
The grab handle and D-ring on the Odyssey Pack are seamlessly sewn, ensuring a smooth transition to any detachable hooks or straps. Inside, you will find a clear and/or mesh zipper pockets, with the option for an additional zipper pocket if needed. Adjusting the depth of the Odyssey Pack is made simple with the mathematical guidelines provided in the Pattern Instructions under Customization and Recommendations.
Perfect for those on the go, the Odyssey Pack can accommodate most lunch boxes. It's not just limited to school use—it can also serve as a toy organizer, store medical supplies, or function as an all-purpose pouch. This pattern demonstrates two binding methods: Fold Over and Bind Over.
